Rob Krar is a Canadian-born ultrarunner who lives in Flagstaff, Arizona. A fierce competitor, he has twice won the prestigious Western States Endurance Run. In 2014, not only did he win Western States, but two months later he finished victorious at the Leadville 100, followed by a win just two weeks after that at the Run Rabbit Run 100. Through performances like these, he earned Ultrarunning Magazine’s “UltraRunner of the Year” in both 2013 and 2014. Rob has become such a sensation that his beard has its own Twitter account (@RobKrarsBeard). Not to be outdone by his beard, Krar’s pet cats have started their own Instagram account (@krarzkatz). And although he does not have a pet lizard, if Rob did, it would be named Jerry. In Rob’s free time, he and his wife, Christina, host small groups of adventurous runners of all levels at their Rob Krar Ultra Camps.
